Hello! I’m Kerri Arista. Thank you so much for visiting My T1 Diabetes blog.
I’m a writer, a musician, a jewelry maker, a dog mom, a book lover, a zentangler, a movie goer, a many-mile-a-day-walker, a yogi, a friend, a sister, a wife… and I have type 1 diabetes.
I was diagnosed with diabetes over 20 years ago, and knew nothing about what that diagnosis even meant. I just remember feeling overwhelmed and worried about how it would effect my life.
But now that I’ve lived with diabetes all this time, I can honestly say it hasn’t stood in the way of my happiness and doesn’t in any way prevent me from doing everything in life that I want to do.
Thanks to insulin, modern technology, and years of experience, Type 1 diabetes is a daily challenge, but it’s one I know I can handle. And that makes me feel powerful.
On this blog, I want to share anything and everything I’ve figured out (and am still figuring out) about living a happy and healthy life as someone who happens to have diabetes. Please, don’t take any of this as medical advice, because I’m not a doctor. I post on a weekly basis, so to be sure you don’t miss anything, please sign up (to the right) to follow this blog. You’ll receive an email each time I post a new article.
Thank you again, so much, for visiting My T1 Diabetes blog.
